Honda excites consumers with new Civic model

A new 3-door version of the innovative new Civic will make its debut in the London Auto Show. To be named as the Civic Type-S, the 3 door version of this sporty Civic will also form a teaser to the famed Civic Type R which will be launched in 2007. Featuring an uprated sports suspension set-up, the Civic Type S also comes with a more pronounced front air intake, as well as 17 inch alloys and wider rear track for a much more aggresive look that complements its design well.Two engine options are made available for the Type S, one is a 1.8 litre petrol engine and the second is a 2.2 litre diesel engine.


For the interior, Honda has applied Black Alcantra trims to the seats and leather trims for the steering wheel. Silver stitchings in the interior and aluminium pedals top off the sophisticated sports tone. Other parts of the dashboard are brought on from the 5 door version of the Civic. In addition, the rear seats of the Civic Type S folds neatly to give a spacious 485 litres of boot space which is similar to that of the 5 door version.
