A new 3-door version of the innovative new Civic will make its debut in the London Auto Show. To be named as the Civic Type-S, the 3 door version of this sporty Civic will also form a teaser to the famed Civic Type R which will be launched in 2007. For the interior, Honda has applied Black Alcantra trims to the seats and leather trims for the steering wheel. Silver stitchings in the interior and aluminium pedals top off the sophisticated sports tone. Other parts of the dashboard are brought on from the 5 door version of the Civic. In addition, the rear seats of the Civic Type S folds neatly to give a spacious 485 litres of boot space which is similar to that of the 5 door version.

Rolls Royce rolls out Black edition of Phantom

What else could be more exclusive than a Rolls-Royce? A limited edition one of course. The BMW-owned English carmaker will commision 25 hand-built bespoke cars called Phantom Black. Alloy wheels will be 21-inches and all 4 comes fitted with high performance Goodyear run flat tyres and will showcase unique black detailing and centre caps with RR badges, engineered to stay upright even at speed. The rear of the Phantom Black, chrome tail pipes hint at the car's performance.

The 6.75 litre V12 engine under the bonnet has not been spared either as it is treated to gloss black inlet manifolds, chrome plated top covers and new black Rolls-Royce badges. As befitting a Rolls, the engine is one of the most silent and yet powerful enough to propel the Phantom Black from 0-60 mph in just 5.7 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 149mph.

Black being the theme is continued within, as soft black leather upholstery rimmed with Seashell piping graces the seats. Natural black ash wood veneers with glimmers of the grains are used throughout. The dashboar, meanwhile is finished in special black metal foil with a finely embossed diamond pattern. A slightly thicker rimmed steering wheel adds to the dynamic spirit of the Phantom Black.

Mercedes' new grand tourer, the CL class makes a debut

With the launch of the new S Class last year, it was only right that the new CL class follows suit. Traditionally termed as the S-Class coupe, the new CL follows the graceful styling of the old CL with the fusion of the new S majestic design. All the technological innovations that makes its appearance in the new S Class will be available in the new CL, including the intelligent ambient lighting system and the PRE-SAFE predictive safety system. It comes with 2 engine variants of the V8 and the V12 engines and a CL63 AMG will most likely appear in the next few months.

On the outside, the new CL displays a more upright front grille of louvred chrome slats with the large shining star that is larger than its predecessor, and the exterior dimension also seems to have grown. The side profile of the car provides an elegant view with the tapered C-pillar and the uninterrupted expanse of glass. Large wheel arches are carried over from the S-Class styling while the back end design gives the new coupe a more svelte look. An optional AMG styling bodykit will enhance the sporty nature in this luxurious Grand Tourer.

Inside, the new CL features a slightly cleaner look of the S-Class dashboard with more wood taking up the center console. For the flagship V12 CL600, there are Exclusive PASSION leather appointments, specially selected poplar wood and an Alcantara roof liner with quilted seams that exemplify a first class club ambience.
